At Jan M. McVey, OD, PC, we believe strongly in giving back to the community and caring for the eyes of all those in need. Outreach programs represent an opportunity to show the community the level of commitment our optometrists have to their community. The staff also plays an important role in community outreach. Our office participates in:
- Volunteer Optometric Services To Humanity (VOSH) – Dr. McVey collects used glasses that are verified and cataloged, then redistributed to needy people in several other countries. On occasion, she travels abroad on mission trips to examine the eyes of the less fortunate.
- The Arizona Optometric Charitable Foundation (AOCF) – Dr. McVey is a board director. AOCF collects donations which are eligible for the working poor TAX CREDIT.
